Building Architect – Data Center Deployment

About the role

Giga is looking for a Building Architect to lead the design and deployment of its data‑center product line across the United States. You will bridge standardized modular design with on‑site execution, turning industrial manufacturing concepts into permit‑ready architectural packages.

Key responsibilities

• Develop complete architectural drawing packages for data‑center projects using Revit.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil teams to ensure integrated delivery.
• Adapt standardized building solutions to meet local jurisdictional codes and site‑specific constraints.
• Prepare and support permit submissions, responding to plan‑review comments from local authorities.
• Conduct life‑safety and code analysis, including occupant load calculations, egress strategies, and accessibility compliance.
• Design building envelope systems, including pre‑engineered metal building components and waterproofing details.
• Produce site plans that address operational logistics, utility coordination, and future expansion.
• Maintain and update Revit models, ensuring coordination with consultant models.

Required profile

• Architect with experience in data‑center or large‑scale building projects.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. building codes, fire safety, and accessibility standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to hub offices (Houston, Long Beach, Reno, San Francisco).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
