Breakfast Attendant (Part-Time)

About the role

Hotel Indigo Chicago Vernon Hills is hiring a part-time Breakfast Attendant in Vernon Hills, Illinois. The attendant prepares the breakfast bar for hotel guests while greeting and serving them in a friendly manner consistent with brand and hotel standards. Pay is $15.00 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Carry food, dishes, trays or silverware from the pantry to serving counters
• Set up attractive food displays and keep the area clean to ensure food safety
• Wipe tables or seats, scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry them to the kitchen
• Clean up spills, broken dishes and trash, and keep supplies of clean glassware, dishes and trays
• Fill beverage and ice dispensers, stock condiments and provide items guests request
• Clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture and equipment, and mop or vacuum floors
• Follow sustainability guidelines and the HHM EarthView program, and aim to raise guest satisfaction scores
• Perform other duties as requested by management

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Food sanitation certification is a plus and required within 90 days of employment
• Previous food and beverage experience preferred or equivalent training
