BMW Service Technician

About the role

The Service Technician at BMW of Chattanooga performs vehicle repair and maintenance in line with dealer and factory standards. You will work on BMW models, diagnose issues, and ensure high customer satisfaction while supervising apprentice technicians as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process repair orders, moving vehicles to the appropriate stall.
• Diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs, and document all work performed.
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain required components and tag warranty parts.
• Inspect vehicles for additional safety or service needs and inform the service advisor promptly.
• Road‑test vehicles or coordinate testing with the test technician.
• Supervise and mentor assigned apprentice technicians.
• Attend factory‑sponsored training and stay current with technical bulletins.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and ensure proper handling of hazardous waste.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience working on BMW vehicles.
• High Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) score.
• ASE certification or equivalent manufacturing training.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass background, motor‑vehicle, drug tests and pre‑employment assessments.
