Bistro Server – Guest Service & Beverage

About the role

Join HHM Hotels as a Bistro Server, delivering courteous food and beverage service while upholding brand standards and sustainability practices. You will interact directly with guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and maintain stocked work areas with necessary supplies, food, and beverages at the start of each shift.
• Take guest orders, input them into the POS system, process payments, and provide accurate change.
• Communicate dietary restrictions, allergies, and special requests to the kitchen.
• Prepare food, coffee, and alcoholic beverages as needed, and assist with ingredient preparation.
• Support bartending and bussing duties during staffing shortages or peak periods.
• Count cash at shift end, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, and secure funds per policy.
• Clean equipment and work areas, lock doors, and follow safety protocols.
• Adhere to state, federal, and corporate regulations for alcohol service and workplace safety (MSDS, OSHA).
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction and perform additional tasks as directed by management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous food and beverage experience or equivalent training is required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Cash handling and reconciliation.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, MSDS and OSHA regulations.
• Understanding of responsible alcohol service laws.
