Bilingual Customer Service Representative (English-Spanish)

About the role

ClearDesk, a remote staffing firm that builds remote teams for U.S. businesses, is hiring a bilingual Customer Service Representative. The representative is the first point of contact for home health care referrals and inquiries, working in a US time zone and serving a patient population of which 60-70% speaks Spanish.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for incoming patient referrals and inquiries, answering and managing calls from current and prospective members.
• Triage referrals to check that members have the right referral documentation.
• Verify patient eligibility and ensure proper authorization is in place, coordinating with the authorization team.
• Schedule intake appointments by coordinating with nurses and field staff on availability.
• Process new member information using internal systems and keep records organized and documented.
• Communicate with Spanish-speaking patients in a warm, clear and professional way.
• Collaborate with nurses and off-site team members via messaging tools for scheduling coordination.
• Escalate concerns or questions promptly when additional support is needed.

Required profile

• Fluent in both English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication in each.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to triage and prioritize patient referrals.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Willingness to work in a US time zone schedule.
• Ability to set up the required technical equipment (webcam, headset, internet, computers).

Required skills

• Technical setup: 720p HD webcam, noise-canceling headset, internet of at least 25 Mbps, backup devices and power source.
• Main computer with at least an Intel Core i5 and 8 GB RAM; backup computer with at least an Intel Core i3 and 4 GB RAM.
