Behavioral Health Technician – Full‑Time

About the role

Join Indiana Treatment Centers in Muncie, IN as a Behavioral Health Technician. You will support clients throughout their treatment journey, from admission to discharge, in a trauma‑informed, person‑centered environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, recreation, community meetings, and scheduled appointments.
• Provide orientation to new clients within 48 hours, covering rules, expectations, schedules, and facility layout.
• Monitor client participation in recovery activities and communicate observations to clinical staff.
• Facilitate or co‑facilitate psychoeducational, recovery, or skills‑based groups under supervision.
• Respond to emotional, social, or health‑related crises and escalate as needed.
• Conduct vital signs, urine drug screens, and breathalyzer tests following protocol and maintain chain‑of‑custody documentation.
• Assist with medication monitoring, safety checks, rounds, and environmental oversight.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety, visitor policies, and emergency procedures.
