Batch Mixing Operator

About the role

Kyocera AvX Components in Jacksonville is hiring a full-time Batch Mixing Operator. The operator prepares, mixes and processes raw materials according to established formulas, production schedules and quality standards used in electronic component manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret batch mixing instructions and recipes, and inspect raw materials for quality and consistency.
• Measure, verify and combine raw materials according to precise formulas and production schedules.
• Load, operate, monitor and adjust mixing equipment to maintain optimal performance and consistency.
• Perform in-process quality checks, including temperature, viscosity and texture measurements.
• Maintain detailed batch records for traceability and compliance with the quality system.
• Clean and sanitize mixing equipment and work areas to meet safety and hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with quality control and production teams to troubleshoot process issues.
• Follow manufacturing specifications and safety protocols, including PPE and handling of hazardous materials.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying batch variances and minimizing waste, and complete other assigned duties.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience operating batch mixing equipment preferred; general manufacturing equipment experience required.
• Ability to work with chemicals and wear PPE (safety glasses, gloves, lab coats, hair nets).
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds, bend, reach, sit and stand, and good hand-eye coordination and vision.
