About the role

Talking Sticks Resorts Amphitheatre is hiring Concessions Bartenders. The role centres on positive guest interaction while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner. The employer is Legends, a hospitality agency that works with brands across professional sports, collegiate, attractions, entertainment, international and convention sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, take beverage orders from restaurant servers or directly from guests, and serve drinks in line with company standards
• Mix cocktails and other bar beverages using high-quality spirits, liqueurs, fruits, fresh herbs and spices
• Serve wine, explain its characteristics, evaluate guests' needs and suggest appropriate options using proper wine service techniques
• Work with the culinary team to create mixers and garnishes, and serve food items to guests seated at the bar
• Check guest identification to verify age requirements for alcohol, handle an assigned bank and collect payments
• Keep the bar area stocked, prepare inventory or purchase requisitions, and stay clean and organised
• Attend mandatory meetings, perform general cleaning to meet health and safety standards, and complete other duties assigned by the supervisor

Required profile

• At least two years of experience as a bartender
• Ability to work long hours and flexible shifts, including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs continuously and to work independently or in a team
• Excellent knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
• Personable, friendly and welcoming, with good personal hygiene and grooming
• Ability to read, speak and write English and to communicate with guests

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of drink recipes and of wines
• Ability to create and serve drinks in a timely manner
• Ability to remember, recite and promote menu items
• Willingness to exceed guest expectations and to take direction from a supervisor
