Barista - Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown

About the role

Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown is looking for an enthusiastic, dependable barista to prepare quality beverages and help guests start their day or enjoy a well-deserved break. The position is full time and based in downtown Pittsburgh.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas and other beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Greet guests warmly, answer menu questions and take orders accurately.
• Serve pastries, snacks and other available food items.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and process cash, credit card and other authorised payments accurately.
• Keep counters, equipment, displays and guest areas clean, organised and stocked.
• Follow food safety, sanitation and safe equipment-handling procedures.
• Monitor product freshness, rotate inventory and communicate supply needs.
• Respond professionally to guest requests and raise concerns with a supervisor when needed.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including cleaning equipment and reconciling transactions as assigned.
• Work with team members to keep service smooth during busy periods.

Required profile

• Previous barista, café, food service or customer service experience preferred.
• A friendly attitude and commitment to attentive guest service.
• Attention to detail when preparing beverages and handling payments.
• Ability to manage multiple orders and stay organised in a busy environment.
• Dependability, teamwork and clear communication.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to perform essential duties such as prolonged standing, reaching and moving supplies, with or without reasonable accommodation.
