Barback - Lobby Bar

About the role

Loews Hollywood Hotel is looking for an energetic, detail-oriented Barback for its lobby bar. The role keeps the bar organized, stocked and ready so bartenders can deliver great guest experiences, and suits someone who enjoys working behind the scenes in a fast-paced hospitality team.

Key responsibilities

• Restock the bar with liquor, beer, wine, ice, glassware, garnishes and other supplies throughout the shift.
• Help set up and break down the bar before and after shifts or events.
• Prepare garnishes such as lemon, lime and orange wedges, and items like cherries and olives.
• Wash and dry glassware, wipe surfaces, remove trash and keep the bar organized.
• Clear dirty glasses and empty drinkware from guest tables and bar counters.
• Monitor stock levels and alert bartenders or management when supplies are low.
• Assist bartenders during peak hours and help guests with basic requests.
• Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines, comply with alcohol laws, and attend mandatory training and meetings.
• Work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Reliable, punctual and able to handle multiple priorities while keeping the bar clean and stocked.
• Collaborates with bartenders, servers and managers; stays calm under pressure.
• Previous bar or restaurant experience preferred.
• Able to lift, pull and push 75+ pounds, with continual bending, lifting, carrying and stooping.
• Flexible to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
