Banking & Capital Markets Tax Director

About the role

PWC is seeking a seasoned Tax Director to lead its Banking & Capital Markets practice. You will advise top‑tier financial institutions on tax planning, compliance and strategic initiatives, while shaping the growth of the practice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead tax compliance projects for banking and capital markets clients, ensuring adherence to complex regulations.
• Develop and implement strategic tax planning solutions that optimise client positions and mitigate risk.
• Oversee preparation and filing of tax returns, validating accuracy against current tax laws.
• Analyse financial data to uncover trends and opportunities for improved tax strategies.
• Engage with executive‑level clients to define engagement scope and drive business development.
• Mentor and guide junior staff across tax compliance and planning engagements.
• Promote innovative tax structures and solutions within the firm.
• Collaborate across the PwC network to leverage collective expertise and enhance client satisfaction.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 8 years of relevant tax experience, preferably in banking or capital markets.
• Professional credential such as CPA, Bar membership, or equivalent finance‑related qualification.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, complex projects and manage senior client relationships.
