About the role
We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and maintain critical geospatial applications and cloud infrastructure for a utility/energy environment. The role combines deep AWS expertise with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD automation, and both Linux and Windows system administration.
Key responsibilities
- Design, deploy and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform and IaC best practices.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild and Azure DevOps.
- Create and manage AWS Systems Manager automation documents, runbooks and operational workflows.
- Administer core AWS services such as EC2, EFS, ALB, Route 53, IAM, KMS, S3, ECS, ECR, RDS PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
- Implement monitoring, logging and alerting with CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
- Support containerised workloads, Lambda functions, Step Functions and secure credential storage via Secrets Manager and Parameter Store.
- Develop automation scripts in Python, YAML, Bash and PowerShell.
- Maintain Red Hat Linux and Windows Server 2022 environments.
- Collaborate with GIS, development and infrastructure teams to ensure secure, reliable cloud operations.
Required profile
- Strong hands‑on experience with AWS Systems Manager and runbook development.
- Proven ability to implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS native tools and Azure DevOps.
- Extensive experience managing AWS resources through Terraform modules.
- Solid Linux (Red Hat) and Windows Server administration background.
- Experience supporting Esri ArcGIS Enterprise or similar geospatial platforms is a plus.
