Aviation Structures Adjunct Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a part‑time Aviation Structures Adjunct Instructor to join Chattahoochee Technical College. You will deliver instructional material for the Aviation Structures/Composites program in classroom, online, and laboratory environments.

Key responsibilities

• Teach all aspects of the Aviation Structures curriculum under the supervision of the Aviation Program Director.
• Collaborate with the full‑time Chatt Tech instructor to develop and deliver course content.
• Implement engaging instruction for face‑to‑face, online, and lab sessions.
• Ensure safety compliance with EPA regulations and OSHA standards in the lab.
• Work with the Dean, faculty, and academic leadership to achieve departmental goals.
• Advise students and support recruitment and retention for the program.

Required profile

• Aircraft Structural Technology Diploma OR five+ years experience on aircraft structures in manufacturing or MRO environment OR an Airframe License.
• Preferred: FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings or an Airframe License.
• Industry certifications such as NC3 are a plus.
• Experience teaching structures, preferably in an MRO setting, and conducting program assessments.
