Aviation Safety Manager – Grand Prairie, TX

About the role

Airbus Helicopters, Inc. is seeking an experienced Aviation Safety Manager to lead the aviation safety function at its Grand Prairie, Texas site. Reporting to the Director of Safety Programs North America, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with aviation safety regulations and Airbus policies while promoting a strong safety culture across production, maintenance, and flight operations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the focal point for all aviation safety matters at the Grand Prairie site.
• Collaborate with process owners to identify hazards and foster safety ownership.
• Maintain the safety reporting system, investigate incidents, and drive corrective actions.
• Lead Safety Risk Management activities under the Safety Management System (SMS), including development plans and organizational changes.
• Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure robust feedback loops.
• Provide continuous communication and feedback to safety report submitters.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aviation safety management or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of aviation safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with production, maintenance, and flight operations teams.
• Excellent investigative and problem‑solving skills.
