Automotive Technology Adjunct Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia, through Chattahoochee Technical College, seeks a qualified Automotive Technology Adjunct Instructor to join its faculty on a part‑time, term‑based basis. You will deliver lecture and laboratory instruction for the Automotive Technical Certificate of Credit and related degree or diploma programs across the Appalachian, Marietta, and BCCCA campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver classroom and hands‑on lab lessons in automotive technology.
• Advise and mentor students, monitor their progress, and evaluate performance.
• Set up, maintain, and safely operate automotive labs, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate instructional documentation and grading records.
• Collaborate with the Associate Dean of Technical Studies & Engineering Technologies and the Dean of Business and Technical Studies.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Automotive Technology (minimum).
• At least two years of industry experience as an automotive technician or in a related field.
• Current ASE certification in the subject area you will teach.
• Ability to meet pre‑employment background, motor‑vehicle record, and reference checks.
