Automotive Service Technician

About the role

Victory Automotive Group, a family-owned and operated dealership group with more than 50 locations across the United States, is hiring a full-time Automotive Service Technician in Albany, California. The technician services and repairs vehicles according to established standards and procedures, and may also perform pre-delivery service on new vehicles. The salary range is $50,000 to $97,000 per year.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain vehicle cleanliness while performing service or repairs
• Perform routine service inspections or tests and complete standard maintenance jobs
• Ensure required documentation is complete and compliant with regulations and standards
• Help maintain shop appearance and safety standards, including inventory stocking and other general functions
• Follow shop policies, procedures, safety and environmental rules
• Attend staff meetings, training and educational classes as required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED, some post-secondary automotive training, dealer-level or large facility experience, and/or ASE certification
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, and to bend, kneel, squat, stand and lift heavy objects as needed
• Positive attitude, professional appearance, strong communication skills and customer service focus
• Entry-level technicians may have work experience
