Automotive Service Technician

About the role

Mills Auto Group is seeking a full‑time Automotive Service Technician to join its service department in North Wilkesboro, NC. The technician will diagnose, repair, and maintain customer vehicles while delivering high‑quality service and professional customer interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles based on customer concerns and service requests.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations.
• Repair or replace worn components including spark plugs, wheel bearings, brake pads, fuel system parts, and sensors.
• Use computerized diagnostic equipment and visual inspection to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
• Follow checklists to ensure thorough examinations and accurate repairs.
• Communicate repair recommendations and status updates to customers and team members.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to lift 50 lb unassisted.
• Critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities.
