Automotive Service Technician

About the role

Mercedes‑Benz of Hampton is seeking certified Automotive Service Technicians of all levels to join a clean, temperature‑controlled shop. You will work in a supportive environment that values safety, continuous learning, and high‑quality service for customers across Hampton Roads.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance as specified on repair orders, following dealership policies.
• Test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment; conduct test drives when needed.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems.
• Communicate directly with Service Advisors to keep customers informed of additional service needs.
• Complete online multi‑point inspection reports.
• Execute warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer‑service orientation and teamwork mindset.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Required skills

• Proficiency with diagnostic tools.
• Experience using electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Automotive repair and maintenance expertise.
• Computer literacy for shop software and reporting.
