Automotive Service Technician (BMW/MINI)

About the role

Momentum BMW, a leading BMW Center of Excellence in Houston, is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join its state‑of‑the‑art service department. The technician will work on German‑brand vehicles, primarily BMW and MINI, delivering high‑quality repairs and maintenance in line with dealer and factory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform thorough inspections to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic issues.
• Execute repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, electrical systems, and HVAC components.
• Conduct test drives to verify repairs and ensure vehicle safety and performance.
• Replace or repair key components such as spark plugs, filters, brake pads, rotors, belts, and hoses.
• Complete routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and alignment adjustments.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to service advisors and coordinate parts procurement with the parts department.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an automotive service technician working on German brands (BMW, Volkswagen, Audi, etc.).
• Previous dealership experience is mandatory.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Authorization to work in the United States and ability to pass background, MVR, drug testing, and pre‑employment assessments.

• Automotive diagnostics and inspection.
• Engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, and HVAC repair.
• Spark plug, filter, brake pad, rotor, belt, and hose replacement.
• Oil change, tire rotation, fluid check, and alignment adjustment.
• BMW brand certifications (preferred).

• Flat‑rate hourly pay ranging from $16 to $50 based on experience and certifications.
