Automation Technology Instructor

About the role

The Automation Technology Instructor provides associate‑level instruction to students at Central Georgia Technical College, developing curriculum, evaluating progress and supporting adjunct faculty.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare syllabi, lesson plans and deliver classroom, evening, online or dual‑enrollment instruction.
• Maintain grade books, records, inventory of equipment and complete required reports and invoices.
• Mentor adjunct faculty and participate in professional development.
• Travel to multiple campus locations within the college’s service area as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation Technology or a closely related field (or technical certificate plus two years experience).
• Documented experience with instrumentation and control systems preferred.
• Ability to teach all phases of the curriculum and follow accreditation standards.
