Authorized Inspector Trainee (Pressure Vessel)

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a dedicated Trainee Inspector with hands‑on experience in metal fabrication and pressure‑vessel manufacturing. The role supports clients by verifying welds, assemblies and fabrication processes against ASME and NBIC codes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform ASME and National Board shop and field inspection services, reviewing code‑required activities and witnessing required tests.
• Monitor client quality‑control systems for compliance with relevant codes and jurisdictional requirements.
• Document all inspection activities per established policies and ensure accurate reporting.

Required profile

• High school diploma (minimum).
• Ability to read, write and speak clearly, use a computer and perform basic arithmetic.
• Motivated individual willing to develop knowledge of ASME, NBIC and related codes through training.

Required skills

• Understanding of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
• Knowledge of National Board Inspection Code (NBIC).
• Familiarity with pressure‑vessel inspection procedures and NDE techniques.
• Basic welding inspection concepts; awareness of CWI, API‑510 and API‑570 certifications.
