Auditor – Financial Statements & Audit Engagements

About the role
Whitecap Search is looking for a detail‑oriented Auditor to prepare audited financial statements with full footnote disclosure in accordance with GAAP or a modified accounting basis. The successful candidate will lead audit engagements, assess risk, and communicate findings to clients and senior management.
Key responsibilities
- Review and prepare audited financial statements with complete footnote disclosures.
- Plan audits, assess risk, and execute audit engagements.
- Prepare quarterly financial reports and schedules for Board of Trustee meetings.
- Collect and analyze data to identify control deficiencies, fraud, or non‑compliance.
- Inspect accounting systems for efficiency and adherence to accepted procedures.
- Report on asset utilization and recommend operational and financial improvements.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of auditing experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and audit planning.
- Ability to communicate audit results effectively with clients.
