About the role

Join PwC’s Assurance practice in Nashville as an Audit Intern for the Winter 2028 term. You will work alongside experienced auditors, gaining hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits and learning how to apply professional methodologies in a real‑world setting.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends and provide insights.
• Document audit procedures, findings, and workpapers in an organized manner.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles while performing audit tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to assess internal controls and risk factors.
• Utilize data‑analysis techniques to enhance audit quality.
• Observe and learn from senior auditors to build foundational audit knowledge.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before starting full‑time.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
• Data analysis abilities.
