About the role

As an Audit Intern for the Summer 2027 cohort in Nashville, you will join PwC’s Assurance practice and gain hands‑on experience with financial statement audits. The position offers a structured learning environment where you will observe and support audit engagements, develop an understanding of regulatory compliance, and build a foundation for a career in audit and assurance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and support decision‑making.
• Document audit procedures, findings, and workpapers.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles in audit tasks.
• Support the evaluation of internal controls and risk assessments.
• Utilize data‑analysis techniques to enhance audit quality.
• Learn from senior auditors and contribute to client‑focused deliverables.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.

Required skills

• Understanding of GAAP and GAAS.
• Basic data‑analysis abilities.
