About the role

As an Audit Intern in PwC’s Assurance practice in Boston, you will join a dynamic team during the Winter 2028 term. The position offers hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits, allowing you to observe and contribute to the audit process while developing a solid foundation for a future CPA career.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and assist decision‑making.
• Document audit procedures, findings, and workpapers.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles in audit tasks.
• Assist in evaluating internal controls and identifying improvement areas.
• Collaborate with team members to assess risk factors and financial trends.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state before full‑time employment.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
• Data analysis capabilities.
• Familiarity with audit methodologies.
