About the role
The State Bar's Client Security Fund (CSF) seeks an Attorney III to evaluate applications for reimbursement when clients have suffered loss due to attorney misconduct. This non‑litigation role involves applying facts to the law and making determinations on granting or denying claims.
Key responsibilities
- Identify legal issues and recommend appropriate actions.
- Research, analyze, and interpret statutes, regulations, and case law.
- Prepare legal opinions, memoranda, and other documentation.
- Handle assigned litigation and lead case/project management presentations.
- Assist in developing and implementing State Bar policies.
Required profile
- Exceptional analytical and drafting abilities.
- Extensive experience investigating complex legal matters across various areas of law.
- Strong oral presentation skills.
- Commitment to public protection and assisting victims of attorney theft.
- Professional, courteous service to applicants, respondents, and the public.
Required skills
What we offer
- Annual salary range: $142,925 – $214,221.
- FLSA exempt, union‑represented position.
- Up to four remote workdays per week (hybrid schedule).
