Athletic Facilities Service Assistant

About the role

The Athletic Facilities Service Assistant supports the daily operation and upkeep of the University of Arkansas' athletic venues. This temporary, fixed‑term position works on a varied shift schedule to ensure facilities are safe, clean, and ready for student‑athletes and events.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and order in gyms, courts, and related athletic spaces.
• Assist with set‑up and breakdown of equipment for practices, games, and special events.
• Perform routine inspections, report maintenance issues, and coordinate minor repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety and university policies.
• Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors using the facilities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in facilities or custodial work preferred.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Physical capability to lift, move, and clean equipment and surfaces.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a team‑oriented attitude.
