Associate/Assistant Professor – Psychology (Counseling)

About the role

Texas A&M University‑Victoria seeks two full‑time, tenure‑track faculty members in Clinical or Counseling Psychology at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, starting August 2027. The position involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, supervising student practicum experiences, and contributing to departmental research and service.

Key responsibilities

• Teach up to twelve credit hours per semester, including introductory, elective, and graduate courses delivered in‑person and online.
• Supervise student practicum experiences, advise and mentor students, and serve on university committees.
• Maintain an active research agenda, publish scholarly work, and support student recruitment and retention.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree in Psychology from an APA or CPA‑accredited clinical or counseling program (completion date may be pending).
• Eligibility for licensure in Texas.
• Commitment to undergraduate and graduate education and ability to contribute to a multidisciplinary department.

Required skills

• Ability to teach both in‑person and blended online courses.
• Experience supervising student field placements and advising graduate students.
