Associate Test Engineer

About the role

Leidos Defense, within its Systems Integration and Test team, is seeking an Associate Test Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama. The team implements solutions for complex defense problems, including kinetic and directed energy platforms, radar and other surveillance and sensor technologies. The position involves creating and running test plans, documenting verification and validation, and reporting results internally and externally.

Key responsibilities

• Create, modify and execute test plans to satisfy program requirements.
• Complete requirements verification and validation documentation and reports.
• Brief internal and external parties on test results and data.
• Minimal travel for test events, approximately 4 weeks per year.

Required profile

• ABET-accredited B.S. in computer engineering, computer science or electrical engineering with 2+ years of experience, or a Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience developing and executing hardware or software test plans and procedures.
• Direct, hands-on experience with hardware, software or system integration, troubleshooting and testing.
• Familiarity with tracking test results, defects and verification evidence.
• Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama area.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with test planning and execution.
• Working knowledge of electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, voltmeters and signal analyzers/generators.
• Working knowledge of Python and LabVIEW.
• General experience with Linux, MATLAB and Wireshark.

The pay range is $69,550 - $125,725, depending on education, experience and other factors.
