Associate Professor of Clinical Radiation Oncology

About the role

The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine seeks a full‑time Associate Professor of Clinical Radiation Oncology. The successful candidate will have board eligibility or certification and a strong focus on brachytherapy for gynecologic malignancies, contributing to patient care, education, and research.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality clinical radiation oncology services, emphasizing advanced brachytherapy techniques (intracavitary, interstitial, hybrid).
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary disease‑site teams and coordinate care across the UHealth network.
• Engage in departmental quality‑improvement activities and comply with faculty policies.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows; deliver at least one grand round per year and multiple resident lectures.
• Develop and maintain an independent research program with start‑up support and protected time.

Required profile

• Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Radiation Oncology.
• Active Florida medical license or University Medical Faculty Certificate.
• Demonstrated expertise in brachytherapy and a scholarly interest in gynecologic cancers.
• Commitment to academic medicine, teaching, and collaborative research.
