About the role

The University of Miami’s Cardiovascular Division seeks an experienced Associate Professor to lead and expand the Structural Heart Disease program. This senior academic position combines clinical care, research, and education within the UHealth System.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the development of the Structural Heart Disease program, ensuring high‑quality patient care, education, and research.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve outcomes, create innovative treatment protocols, and drive clinical excellence.
• Participate in clinical activities, including patient consultations, outpatient care, and invasive procedures in the Cath Lab.
• Lead research initiatives, support clinical trials, and contribute to scholarly publications.
• Mentor and teach medical students, residents, and fellows, fostering academic growth.
• Ensure compliance with institutional, regulatory, and quality standards while promoting program sustainability.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Cardiology with specialized expertise in Structural Heart Disease.
• Proven leadership experience in an academic or research‑focused healthcare setting.
• Strong academic record, including publications and research grants.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Florida.
