About the role
The Department of Cell Biology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine seeks an Associate Professor to lead an independent research program in cell and systems biology. The successful candidate will join a vibrant community of scientists and physicians, contributing to graduate education and interdisciplinary collaborations.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an independent, federally funded research program.
- Publish high‑impact scientific findings.
- Teach graduate courses and mentor Ph.D. students, postdoctoral fellows, and medical fellows.
- Participate in departmental and university service, including graduate program administration.
- Collaborate with faculty across basic and clinical departments.
Required profile
- Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent with a strong record of research accomplishments.
- Demonstrated ability to secure extramural funding.
