Associate Professor – Nursing

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Monticello’s Nursing Department is seeking an Associate Professor to join its faculty on a tenure‑track basis. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of undergraduate and graduate nursing curricula, supporting both theoretical and clinical learning environments.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with peers and the School of Nursing dean to develop, implement, and evaluate the nursing curriculum.
• Deliver theoretical and clinical instruction as assigned, including participation in team‑teaching formats.
• Provide academic advising and counseling to nursing students.
• Maintain security and confidentiality of all records and examinations, submitting test items to the course coordinator at least two weeks before exam dates.
• Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings and faculty evaluations.
• Develop class content aligned with course objectives and program outcomes.
• Utilize current instructional resources to facilitate student progress.
• Maintain accurate records of student evaluation and progress.
• Hold office hours of at least ten hours per week for student consultation.
