Associate Principal, Indirect Treatment Comparison (ITC), Evidence Synthesis

About the role

iqvia is hiring an Associate Principal for Indirect Treatment Comparison (ITC) and evidence synthesis, working remotely while being based in the US. Associate Principals are methodologic experts and project leaders who implement rigorous evidence synthesis research, oversee junior staff and manage the project timeline. The role supports pharmaceutical clients and contributes to the operational and fiscal health of the practice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead implementation of evidence synthesis projects supporting HTA and/or regulatory submissions, from pre-award to final delivery, and develop deliverables hands-on
• Lead project teams to ensure high-quality deliverables within timelines
• Synthesize data qualitatively and quantitatively and guide junior staff
• Manage projects, including their operational, financial and administrative requirements
• Independently qualify leads, develop proposals, attend bid defenses and manage the contracting process
• Support more senior staff on business initiatives and work across time zones in a global team

Required profile

• Preferred: PhD in epidemiology or biostatistics (other health sciences acceptable); 5+ years implementing evidence synthesis in a pharma consulting environment
• Minimum: Master's in epidemiology or biostatistics (other health sciences acceptable); 7+ years implementing evidence synthesis in a pharma consulting environment
• At least 5 years as client point of contact on projects
• Fluent spoken and written English

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of systematic literature review (SLR) methods and indirect treatment comparison (ITC)
• Experience leading Bayesian network meta-analyses (NMAs) and other ITCs, and meta-analysis or other Bayesian statistical analysis
• Understanding of global SLR guidelines and best practices
• Quality checking of own and others' work and attention to detail
• Project management, time management and organization
• Competence in PowerPoint, Excel and Word

The potential base pay range, annualized, is $125,800 to $350,300, depending on qualifications, location and schedule. Incentive plans, bonuses and other benefits may also apply.
