Associate Operator

About the role

Dow, in partnership with Diamond Infrastructure Solutions, is seeking an Associate Operator to run assigned equipment and plant areas safely, efficiently, and with high quality. The role involves operating control systems, monitoring process parameters, and ensuring smooth plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Follow Operating Discipline principles, procedures and practices to ensure safe and efficient operation of assigned plant areas.
• Operate and field‑check process equipment, monitoring levels, temperatures, pressures, flow rates and product transfers.
• Write Safe Work Permits, perform sampling, area checks, Red Tags, Return to Operations (RTO) and complete checklists.
• Execute tasks from the Master Task List such as field checks, equipment preparation and sampling.
• Use troubleshooting skills to resolve process, product quality, safety and environmental issues and identify equipment needing maintenance.
• Participate in root‑cause investigations and coach/train others on plant operations.
• Perform minor repairs, improvements and preventative maintenance on process equipment.
• Maintain high standards of safety and environmental stewardship.

Required profile

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One of the following: Associate degree in Process Technology, 3+ years relevant military experience, or 2+ years industrial manufacturing experience.
• Willingness to work overtime, nights and weekends as needed.
