Associate Director, Tech/Ops Data Partnerships

About the role

This Associate Director role sits within Data Partnerships Operations and reports to the Data Partnerships Leads. It supports smooth onboarding and ongoing management with data partners and vendors, acting as the day-to-day coordination point across business stakeholders, brands, functions, Data Partnerships, partner technical teams, DEO, IM DnA and cross-functional technical teams. The position is remote anywhere in the U.S., with about 20% travel and no relocation provided.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the day-to-day coordination point across stakeholders, brands, functions, Data Partnerships, partner technical teams and Novartis data engineering teams, including DEO / IM DnA.
• Support technical onboarding with DEO, aligning on data formats, metadata, delivery requirements, catalog inputs and readiness milestones.
• Provide ongoing technical operations support after go-live, monitoring ingestion, confirming data flow, tracking pipeline performance and coordinating issue resolution.
• Maintain a centralized data issue tracker covering technical and business issues, with visibility, ownership, validation and closure.
• Coordinate data quality issue resolution, prioritizing risks, escalating recurring issues and giving insights to Data Partnerships leadership.
• Manage working-level partner relationships, including delivery follow-up, real-time issue triage, escalation and performance discussions.
• Track SLA adherence and delivery performance, flagging risks, gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain data documentation, metadata, partner documentation, asset inventory inputs, catalog updates, onboarding progress and delivery health metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master of Science and/or MBA strongly preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, technology, data, analytics, data partner/vendor operations, data engineering coordination or consulting.
• Experience coordinating technical onboarding, ongoing partner management, data delivery, ingestion readiness, metadata alignment, catalog inputs, file formats and delivery requirements.
• Proven ability to coordinate across stakeholders in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Excellent communication skills, able to turn technical issues into clear operational implications for business stakeholders and leadership.
