Associate Corporate Counsel, Contracts

About the role

Beeline Medicines is seeking an Associate Corporate Counsel to lead contract drafting, review, and negotiation across its fast‑growing biotech business. The role partners with Procurement, R&D, and other functions to keep contracting moving at the pace the business needs while ensuring legal compliance and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements such as CDAs, MSAs, CRO/vendor and consulting agreements.
• Collaborate with Procurement, R&D and cross‑functional teams to meet contracting timelines.
• Maintain and enhance contract templates, playbooks, and negotiation guidelines.
• Advise internal stakeholders on contractual risk, obligations and compliance.
• Support the contract lifecycle management system with accurate tracking and record‑keeping.
• Assist with due diligence and contract review for business development and licensing transactions.
• Escalate higher‑risk or novel contract issues to senior legal leadership.

Required profile

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing.
• Minimum 5 years of contracts/transactional experience, either in‑house or at a law firm.
• Demonstrated ability to handle high‑volume, fast‑paced transactional work.

Required skills

• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Excellent legal analysis and risk assessment.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple business functions.
• Familiarity with contract lifecycle management tools.
