About the role
MidCap Financial Services is seeking an Associate/AVP to join its accounting team. The role focuses on delivering accurate and timely financial reporting for a fast‑growing specialty finance company.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements, account reconciliations, reporting schedules, and supporting analyses.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and contribute to internal and external reporting deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies.
- Review work prepared by junior accounting staff and provide guidance on procedures and reporting requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements and maintain documentation.
Required profile
- Degree in accounting.
- 3‑5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Enjoy routine, structured activities and can exercise independent judgment.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Experience with NetSuite (highly preferred).
