Assistant/Full Professor of Clinical Psychology

About the role

The Department of Psychology and Sociology at Texas A&M University‑Corpus Christi seeks two full‑time, tenure‑track faculty members in Clinical Psychology to begin in Fall 2027. One position is at the Assistant Professor rank and the other at the Full Professor rank.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and master’s level courses in clinical psychology, including assessment, psychopathology, and psychotherapy.
• Provide clinical supervision for master’s students and mentor student research.
• Develop new courses aligned with areas of specialization and contribute to curriculum design.
• Maintain an active research program, pursue external funding, and publish scholarly work.
• Engage in departmental, college, university, and professional service.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology (earned by start date).
• License or license‑eligible status as a psychologist in Texas.
• For Full Professor: minimum ten years of full‑time university faculty experience, including at least four years at associate rank.
• Demonstrated commitment to multicultural issues in teaching and practice.

Required skills

• Ability to teach and develop clinical psychology courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Experience supervising master’s theses and providing clinical supervision.
• Research productivity with potential to secure external funding.
