Assistant/Full Professor of Clinical Psychology

About the role

The Department of Psychology and Sociology at Texas A&M University‑Corpus Christi invites applications for two full‑time, tenure‑track faculty positions in Clinical Psychology, starting Fall 2027. One position is at the Assistant Professor rank and the other at the Full Professor rank.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and master’s level courses in clinical psychology, including assessment, psychopathology, and psychotherapy.
• Develop new courses aligned with the candidate’s specialization.
• Provide clinical supervision for master’s students and mentor student research.
• Maintain an active research program, pursue external funding, and contribute to departmental service.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology (earned by start date).
• License‑eligible or licensed psychologist in Texas.
• For Full Professor rank: minimum ten years of full‑time university faculty experience, including at least four years at associate rank.
• Demonstrated record or potential for research productivity and external grant acquisition.

Required skills

• Ability to teach and develop clinical psychology curricula.
• Experience supervising master’s theses and clinical practica.
• Understanding of multicultural issues in pedagogy and practice.
