Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics – Neonatology

About the role

The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine seeks a full‑time faculty member on the clinical educator track. The position involves direct patient care, teaching, and research within a leading academic medical center.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care to pediatric patients at Holtz Children’s Hospital and affiliated Jackson Memorial sites.
• Deliver inpatient consults and participate in weekend on‑call coverage.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows in pediatrics and neonatal‑perinatal medicine.
• Engage in scholarly activities, including quality‑improvement research.

Required profile

• Medical license (or eligibility) in the state of Florida.
• Board certification in Pediatrics.
• Board certification or eligibility in Neonatal‑Perinatal Medicine.
• Demonstrated expertise in clinical care, teaching, and research.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in pediatrics and neonatology.
• Ability to conduct quality‑improvement research.
• Proficiency in Spanish and/or Creole is desirable.
