Assistant Superintendent – Construction

About the role

The Assistant Superintendent supports the Superintendent in managing residential home‑building sites in the East Milton community. This position ensures quality workmanship, schedule adherence, and excellent customer service throughout the construction process.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect each home daily to verify workmanship quality and compliance with plans and specifications.
• Schedule and accompany all inspections, and walk completed homes before homeowner walk‑throughs to confirm readiness.
• Conduct homeowner orientations, address walk‑through items, and coordinate repairs.
• Assist in supervising subcontractors, monitoring safety, quality, scheduling, and cost control.
• Enforce site safety programs and D.R. Horton cleanliness standards.
• Help manage construction materials to prevent damage, waste, and theft.
• Support the construction schedule to deliver homes on time and within budget.
• Provide superior customer service and maintain positive relations with subcontractors and homeowners.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months to two years of related construction experience.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between job sites.
• Ability to work overtime and additional hours as needed.
