Assistant Store Manager – Short Hills

About the role

ANINE BING is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join its flagship store in Short Hills, New Jersey. The Assistant Store Manager works closely with the Store Manager and sales team to drive a client‑first experience while supporting operational excellence, memorable in‑store experiences, and a healthy team dynamic.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the ultimate brand ambassador, communicating ANINE BING’s values and story to clients and peers.
• Build lasting client relationships through personalized, elevated service.
• Partner with the Store Manager to drive daily sales, lead the team, and manage store operations focused on KPI growth.
• Develop fashion and product knowledge to mentor the team in styling expertise.
• Drive sales through client outreach, repeat appointments, and external consignment business.
• Maintain clean, organized store presentation and support visual merchandising standards.
• Assist with inventory management, online order fulfillment, cash handling, cycle counts, and store maintenance.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of retail experience in contemporary, advanced contemporary, or luxury markets.
• Exceptional interpersonal and customer‑service skills with a client‑centric approach.
• Proven ability to meet sales goals, manage budgets, and apply retail math.
• Strong coaching and performance‑management abilities, focused on building client relationships and teaching team members.
• Highly motivated, goal‑oriented, adaptable to a fast‑paced environment, with a positive leadership style.
