Assistant Scientist (ObGyn Oncology)

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is seeking a full‑time Assistant Scientist to advance its ObGyn Oncology research agenda. The role supports the university’s research goals, contributes to scientific publications, and helps maintain the institution’s reputation as a leader in the field.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct basic and applied research, create and run experiments, and analyze results.
• Collaborate with senior staff to publish findings in refereed journals.
• Write extramural grant proposals and prepare materials for funding agencies.
• Request and acquire equipment and supplies for assigned projects.
• Maintain ready access to all experimental data for managing staff.

Required profile

• Ph.D., M.D., or other doctoral‑level degree.
• Minimum of one year of relevant research experience.
• Strong ability to collect, organize, and analyze data.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and sound judgment in decision‑making.
