Assistant Residential Manager - Oneonta Region

About the role

The Assistant Residential Manager works alongside the Residential Manager to ensure a safe, supportive home environment for residents. This role combines leadership, direct support, and coordination of daily activities.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, train, and supervise Director Support Professionals.
• Coordinate daily resident planning, weekly meetings, and trip logistics.
• Mentor new hires during their first six months.
• Ensure accurate documentation and shift report usage.
• Oversee active programming, daily planners, goals, and services.
• Manage medication audits, prescription orders, and MAR checks.
• Provide direct care, including medication administration.
• Assist residents with medical appointments as needed.
• Attend required training, staff development, and meetings.
• Provide on‑call oversight during work hours.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred; required for Golisano Program).
• At least 2 years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Completion of Springbrook New Manager Orientation and Leadership Training Program.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and meet physical lifting requirements.
• Valid driver’s license to operate Springbrook vehicles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Ability to learn and use additional computer software and email applications.
• Medication administration and audit procedures.

• Hourly wage $22–$24 based on experience and qualifications.
