Assistant Property Manager - Student Housing

About the role

Yugo, a global student housing provider operating nearly 40,000 beds across 88 properties in the U.S., is hiring an Assistant Property Manager (Echo 1055) to work alongside the General Manager on day-to-day property operations. The role reports to the Property Manager and supports a vibrant, welcoming community for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily property operations and ensure compliance with company policies and operational standards
• Manage resident accounts: rent collection, delinquency follow-up, invoicing, deposits and payments
• Support lease renewals, retention initiatives and evictions in line with policy and legal requirements
• Maintain resident records, lease files and financial documentation
• Assist with monthly financial reporting, budget tracking and end-of-month close
• Lead leasing and marketing: property tours, leasing inquiries, lease applications, and monitor market trends and competitor pricing
• Handle resident concerns, complaints and service requests, and coordinate with vendors, contractors and maintenance teams
• Conduct property inspections and support move-in and move-out processes
• Take part in staff meetings, training, coaching and employee development, and keep leasing offices and model units tour-ready
• Comply with Fair Housing regulations and other applicable laws

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent; equivalent experience in residential properties, rental operations or related business is required instead of a degree
• At least one year of experience, preferably in residential properties or rental operations
• Experience at a property, even better at a university or college
• Entrata experience or relevant rental software experience
• Strong interpersonal, customer service and conflict-resolution skills
• Carbon Literacy certification or willingness to complete training
