Assistant Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support large‑scale multi‑family and mixed‑use construction projects in the Philadelphia area. This position is ideal for a professional who has moved beyond a traditional Project Engineer role and is ready to take on broader ownership of project coordination, financial tracking, and stakeholder communication.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager and senior leadership in day‑to‑day management of multi‑family and mixed‑use projects.
• Manage and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, project documentation, and close‑out items.
• Coordinate subcontractor buyout, scope review, procurement, and issue resolution.
• Track project budgets, cost reports, commitments, change events, and schedule updates.
• Work closely with field teams to identify risks, resolve issues, and maintain progress.
• Participate in meetings with owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Help ensure project quality, safety, schedule, and budget expectations are met.

Required profile

• 3+ years of construction experience with a GC/CM, preferably as a Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, or Assistant Project Manager.
• Experience supporting ground‑up multi‑family, mixed‑use, residential, hospitality, or large‑scale commercial projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience on projects valued at $30M+ is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore.
• Experience using CMiC.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar platforms.
