Assistant Project Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

Join Span Construction & Engineering as an Assistant Project Manager on a 24‑month on‑site assignment in Lebanon, Indiana. You will support the Project Manager in delivering a data‑center construction project, ensuring schedule, budget, quality and safety targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules and coordinating with design, engineering and construction teams.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications and correspondence.
• Support budget monitoring, expense tracking and financial reporting.
• Help implement quality‑assurance and safety programs on‑site.
• Facilitate communication among stakeholders and prepare regular status reports.
• Identify and resolve project issues in collaboration with the Project Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured on the company’s policy.
• Willingness to be stationed on‑site for the full project lifecycle (24 months).
• OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain).

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management software (Procore, MS Project).
• Strong Office 365 skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with BIM 360, Sage PC.
• Practical knowledge of construction documentation and processes (RFPs, RFIs, change orders, closeout).
