About the role

McNeese State University seeks an enthusiastic Assistant Professor of Psychology to join its Department of Psychology and Counseling. This full‑time, nine‑month, tenure‑track position begins in August 2026 and focuses on undergraduate and graduate teaching, student research mentorship, and scholarly activity.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate psychology courses, both face‑to‑face and online.
• Guide students through the three‑course undergraduate research sequence, culminating in a poster presentation and APA‑style paper.
• Develop and maintain an active research agenda, seeking internal funding and external grants.
