Assistant Professor of Kinesiology

About the role

The H.C. Drew School of Kinesiology seeks an Assistant Professor to join its faculty on a full‑time, nine‑month, tenure‑track basis. The position begins in the Fall 2026 semester and supports teaching, advising, research, and service within the Department of Kinesiology.

Key responsibilities

• Teach 12 credit hours of undergraduate and graduate courses covering exercise physiology, sport management, strength and conditioning, and related allied health fields.
• Advise undergraduate and graduate students across two to four concentrations within the department.
• Serve on departmental, college, and university committees.
• Participate in student recruitment activities throughout the academic year.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain current expertise in the discipline.

Required profile

• Earned doctorate or terminal degree in Kinesiology or a closely related field.
• Evidence of effective teaching or strong teaching potential at the collegiate level.
• Commitment to scholarship, service, and collaboration with community partners.
